Owning a 2000 Harley Davidson Dyna Wide glide is a lifetime dream full filled. I'm 47 years old and have been riding since I was 15. This is the sixth bike I've owned and my fifth street bike. I've always wanted a Harley but until the twin cam series introduced in 1999 I wasn't sold on their mechanical reliability. I've always owned Japanese bikes in the past but still wouldn't consider a Harley clone when looking for a big twin. I looked at the entire Harley Davidson line before narrowing it down between the Softail and the Wide Glide. Both of these bikes had the styling I was looking for and the performance. I picked the Dyna Wide Glide over the Softail because of the full rear shocks and superior ride. I've put 5200 miles on my bike in a little over two months and love it. I've rode 420 miles in one day and was fairly comfortable except for a little seat fatigue. This is a large and heavy bike but is surprisingly nimble. This is no crotch-rocket but it has plenty of power. This is the first bike I've ever owned that you almost can't tell any difference in performance with a passenger onboard. I was on a waiting list for months to get this Pearl White beauty and I can't go anywhere without getting a compliment or someone drooling over it. My suggestion bite the bullet and grab you one. No other bikes I know will hold their value as well as the Harley's.
