My husband bought his Honda 80 elite to commute to work rather than purchasing a second car. This scooter is very economical. To fill up the tank it will cost a couple dollars if that. Depends on cost of gas. It would get about 100 -125 miles per gallon depending on weather conditions. We live in the country and wind and rain all make a change in driving. He usually drove it 35 miles per hour. Tune ups and repairs are spendy if you have to take it to a repair shop. If you can repair on your own it will help. We found a retired man who works on small engines and he dolled this baby up. Tires run about 25-30 dollars per tire. Smooth riding. I do suggest ear plugs because it is a little loud and the engine is right under your seat and you hear that plus the wind whizzing by. Also wear glasses if you do not want bugs in your eyes. I didn't like the fact that I could not ride with my husband. I am about 130 and he is 180 and we were over weight load but my kids loved parading around town with dad on his scooter. I would recommend this to a friend for local transportation. Not a hot rod scooter.
