First off, I love having a scooter. I commute four city miles to work now, and the trip is 15-20 minutes instead of 45 on the bus. Parking is free, traffic is avoidable. But that's the virtue of a scooter.
The problem with the Elite 80 is that, ever since I hit about 800 miles, the wheels scream with noise. I had the brakes checked out and devulcanized, but it's the wheels, both front and back, that sound like I'm on an old, rusty tricycle.
Passenger? Forget it. 80cc's still aren't enough to get you uphill (especially in San Francisco) with a passenger. I thought the little scooter was going to explode when I tried that once... not to mention the thing handles like mush with more than one body on it.
For commuting, this is a great scooter, but the noise and passenger problems make it so-so on the whole.
