Pros: Good design with attentiuon to details. Easy to obtain parts, service and information. Good mileage.
Cons: I don't prefer automatic transmissions and clutches and electric starters.
The Bottom Line: This is a great little scooter. It is perfect for short errands or fun rides around the neighborhood.

I obtained and recycled a Honda Elite 80 for $125. The scooter had 3300 mi on it, was crashed (cracked right fairing and broken mirror), and had been sitting for a number of years.
I also had to get salvage title and registration ($134), new battery ($48), new tires ($70), right mirror ($12), and a can of carburator cleaner ($2.49).
I cleaned the carburator out and glued the fairing back together. There was also a hornet's nest built under the front left fairing that I had to clean out. I also replaced the tires, mirror and battery.
The scooter now runs fine, but it is a little cold blooded when it first starts up. I haven't driven a motorcycle in years, so I thought I would take a chance and get this scooter. I'm glad I did. This scooter brings back a lot of good memories and performs well. There is careful attention to details in the design (storage, locking forks, instrument cluster). Parts and service manuals are easy to obtain. This is a good reason to purchase a Honda product. The scooter goes about 45 mph, but anything faster than 35mph is a strain on the motor, in my opinion. 35 mph works good for me in my neighborhood.
This is a good scooter and I would reccommend it.
