The bottom line is this is simply a great bike, one of the best ever and a downright shame that Honda discontinued it. (Though there are rumors of a new "midrange muscle bike")I have a '95 (they virtually remained unchanged from 94-2004 as mentioned elsewhere) and I have a hair under 70K miles on mine. It's been ridden up and down both US costs and completely across the width of the country (a truly great experience and well worth it). The bike is powerful and there are very few cruisers or standards that can even come close to it. You'll leave Harley boys leaking in the dust and none can handle the twisties like this bike can. I've surprised sportbike riders with this bikes ability to stay close in the twisties, though you won't stay with a XX or Duck in a straightline by any means. It's true, the 3 shortcomings are the small fuel tank, the single front disk though it works quite well and the god awful stock seat. The last is easily fixed and you can work around the other two. Except for minor maintenance this bike has performed flawlessly for me. It is true you need a good windshiled on this bike as the upright position makes you sail and I'd reccomend a tall memphis shades one. The fairing shaped ones are better on this bike then the flat classic types. As for seats, I've tried several and the best is clearly the travelcade. Your better half will much appreciate the great "backseat". They do make a larger afternarket tank for this bike, modified from a VTX I think, though I haven't tried it. There are some great accesories for this bike but somewhat limited (cycleistic makes grea stuff) but there are great support groups like the magnariders and westcoast magna associations. Stay away from the "snake" misnomer brand of accesories as they rust and fit poorly. "Kurk" and Cycleistic make great stuff as are the Leatherlyke bags for this bike. Make a grand worth of mods to this bike, shiled, backrest, seat, bags and you have the ultimate bike for just about anything. I've owned ten different bikes in my life and simpy put, there is no better bang for the bike then this motorcyle. It is considered a classic and won bike of the year (midrange cruiser/muscle bike) several years in a row. They can be had used from $3500 to $7000 and there is no better value out there in motorcyledom. Finally one of the best things about it is one of my favorite expressions concerning "Maggie", "It can get you out of trouble with all that power as quick as you can get into it".
