Rebel 250 rocks (Reply to this comment)
by bb2ner
Hitting a pothole on a bike is BAD regardless of the size of the tires. This is why you avoid it by watching where you ride.
Rebel 250s are fine everywhere except for long 70 mph. rides. It will do 65 all day long and still return 60 mpg plus. Above that the revs are high and tiresome.
Who wants to be on a bike for longer than 200 miles? Not me, I like to take breaks every 100 miles or so just to stretch and stay safe.
In closing the Rebel 250 is not the best choice if Interstate travel is high on your list. Around town and on back roads the Rebel will be right at home for many years of fun service.
I ride a Rebel 250 as a second bike to my Shadow 1100. It's small, nimble and a blast to ride on twisty back roads. Easy to maneuver unlike the bigger bike. Buy a used one, ride it for a few years and sell it for about the same amount.

A suggestion? (Reply to this comment)

I thought this review was pretty good, but the statement about a "pad hole" confused me for a moment. If you were speaking of a hole in the road, it is usually referred to as a "pothole".
