I currently own a 2000 Honda XR100R. I bought this motorcycle in January 2000 after selling my 1993 XR80R. I have had other 4 stroke dirt bikes, but nothing quite like this one. This bike is great for going up and down all sorts of hills. I have taken it through mud, sand, gravel, water, ice, and snow and it went through it with ease. This bike is nothing that a child between the ages of 12 and 15 can't handle. I am only 13 and I have no trouble riding it at all. Its performance is excellent. I race my XR100 against all sorts of other bikes including CR80R's, TTR125R & L's, and even a KX100R, and I have come in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd every time. I added a Supertrapp pipe to mine and it is ready to rip.
The woods is the number one place for this kind of bike though. It climbs over logs, stumps, and bushes with ease and success. Its low 30 inch seat comforts all sorts of riders. All in all the XR100R is a very nice bike. I recommend this bike 100%. However, anyone who has trouble fitting on the seat should turn to another XR.
