| aprilh_2002's Full Review: 2000 Honda XR100R |
I am a 29 year old girrrrrl and I grew up riding dirt bikes. My Dad bought me a Honda Z50R when I was 7, and as soon as I became an adult with some spending money, I went back to the Honda line. The XR 100 is a great beginners bike, or a bike for a growing youngster who doesn't want to go too fast. It's perfect for women who want to play with the boys, but not break bones along the way.
The torque at higher speeds isn't too good- fourth and fifth gears are pretty slow, but it's a fun bike, not too heavy, and the seat height is close to the ground, so when you do fall off the distance isn't too far! There's one thing about my Honda- it always starts. The bike is reliable, and always makes for a fun day on the trails or in the woods. It's also very quiet, not obnoxious like the two strokes.
