Boy, I'm back with a beautiful Connie again, I saw this one on E-Bay, 2001 Sonic Blue, with $2000.00dollars of upgrades, and cannot tell this bike from new, has a shad 46 liter trunk, that was professionally painted, as the bags were also to match the bike, and it is a pro job for sure. even has the pegs lowered for more comfort, gel grips, and risers. Now what I wanted to say about this bike, is that I have no buzzy feeling or noise with this at all. I have read many reviews, and a lot say they do, it might have made the difference with the new risers, and gel grips, and the front has a fork brace and new heavier springs. The next thing is that I'm 71, have had three other Connies, and a Milestone of 150 bikes, and I mean personal bikes that I ride all the time, I have four new bikes in the garage as I write this. I have read where it is hard to get on the centerstand, It is a technique, put your foot on the center stand and grab the handle, also this bike has a new extended handle which gives a little more leverage, and put your entire weight on the stand, and pull up at the same time, and she comes right up, I'm 240 pounds, and still solid with the arm muscles etc, so I know my weight has a lot to do with it, but she comes up easy, no fear of tip over, my inseam is only 32" and I have full control of paddling it around at a stop, or backing it up. This bike is newer than my other Connies, and by far the nicest one that I have seen with all the equipment, has also Bergman Cruise, so that also will save your wrist, just give it a turn out, and the engine speed stays right there. I have a 1500cc Goldwing also, and have no problem of hoisting that 1000 pound machine up on her center stand, I think it takes practice, perseverance, and desire. I've always liked the spirit the Connie has, its getting down the interstate at a fast clip, or running through the twisty's, not as comfortable as the 1500 Wing, but it does still bring out a big grin when I twist her ears, and I have had the V-Max, and the 900 Eliminator, they're fast but only for straight shots, they don't come close to handling the curves like a Connie.

So that's about it, and I love the big 7 1/2 gallon tank, as I get going, I still have to go all the way, I don't stop often. Joe Wisener Greenfield In.
