Well, I have had a couple of kawasaki motor cycles a "92" ZX7
that I bought new and a 1996 ZX9 also new. So I was all ready a kawi
person. But After seeing the bike at the dealership, sitting on it ( By the way this is one light and ballanced bike )I had to have it.
I looked at the R1 and the 929 honda but was not to impressed with the way the bike's felt. After I bought it and took it home feeling how light and responsive it is I have never been more impressed. for the first 500 miles I really took care to break it in, But now "look out" this thing is very very fast. handles like it is on rails, has some great breaks ( be carefull not to grab to hard ) because it will stop on a dime, the bike is all but perfect. the only thing I see is under 3000 rpm's it is a little jumpy, but I would be too if I hade all that power and was held back. I just got a MUZZY pipe and a little tweak in the jets ( that I did myself ) Not a hard thing to do. and let me tell you I didn't think it would be possible for it to feel any faster but YUP!!! it is.
I just was on a racetrack with a CBR 929 and and a 99 R1. and this thing had them saying " man I didn't think it would be that much faster..
No BS..... also raced a CBR1100XX with a pipe and jet kit and was faster.. so do I think it is a great buy ????? you bet.
