| Mezo's Full Review: 2000 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-9R |
I went sports bike shopping back in the spring of 1998. I really wanted a new Yamaha R1 but none was available at the time. I saw a Lime green Kawasaki ZX-9R next to some Suzuki's and Honda 900RR's but the ZX-9R really caught my eye. After a lot of researching in magazines and articles about the bike, I dropped my hard earned cash and drove away the next day.
The POWER of the bike is just amazing. I have a lot of friends with Sports bikes and after riding all the others, The ZX-9R was all out the best!
I rode the Suzuki 750 GSX-R, Yamaha R1, Honda 900RR and none came close to the raw torque the ZX-9R produced.
At all gears, its instant acceleration.
The handling is superb, Power out of corners is just plain awesome and highway speed is smooth and surefooted.
If you like a bike with a lot of Torque, the this is the bike for you!
Anyone old enough to handle a bike like this is for you.
I highly recommend you have good experience in Bike riding before purchasing this awesome piece of engineering.
