I have a 1999 Prairie 400 4X4. I pretty sure it is identical to the 2000's. The quad is very nice and the one that really brought Kawasaki their good name. The 391cc engine pulls very well it's more powerful feeling than a lot of 450 and even 500cc quads. The automatic transmission transfers the power extremely well. I've raced 450 and 500cc quads with manual transmissions and they simply could not keep up. The quad feels similer to riding a snowmobile because of the transmission and engine breaking. Very reliable quad that is just as well suited for on the farm or out on the trails. I would like to find anyone with a 400cc 4x4 quad that could pull as good or ride as good. Mine topps out at 54MPH in 500feet. A+++
