Pros: A lot of bike for the money with good looks,handling,power and dependability.
Cons: Rough idle when cold. High RPM at highway speeds, causing lower fuel economy.
The Bottom Line: A good all around bike. Good handling,looks and Reliability from this GSXR based engine is proven. Go with what works!

This is the third year with this bike, and it keeps getting better. Having owned and sold two of it's predesessors, (regretfully)I found the three bikes that followed were missing something. The test ride brought back familiar smiles, with some pleasant upgrades. I'm a 42 year old 5'6", 145 lb. rider of almost 30 years. This is a great all around bike. The seat height has me slightly on my toes, but manouvering is still quite manageable. It is a little rough on cold starts (temps in the 20deg.F range, but what's not?)but warms up quickly. Braking is great! Throttle response is smooth, and the transmission offers positive shifting. Handling is nimble, even at slower speeds. Low and mid range torque is ample. Highway RPM is a bit high,(in my opinion) but vibration through the bars and grips is low. The small fairing works well up to my neck, which tends to put my helmet into the turbulent air. This windshield is, however, a 2" taller than stock unit that came on the bike when I bought it. Santa got me a taller one this year. Most of my riding is highway, so I added a trunk, gel seat, handle bar risers, case guards, highway pegs, stainless braided brake lines, a different new windshield, and a throttle lock. I know the additions took something away from the looks, but the functional aspect went way up for me. Knowing that I can remove the trunk and swap the windshields in about 5 minutes puts the look issue to rest.
So, if a straight up, comfortable for two, all around bike with a fun factor (even without my additions)is what you are looking for, look no more!
