Pros: Slick Look Lots of Power Easy to Handle
Cons: Squeaking Brakes Small Gas Tank
I have had my Intruder for a couple months now and am loving every minute of it. I replaced the stock seat immediately with the Suzuki Gel Seat...a MUST for anyone planning an Intruder purchase...the stock seats are TERRIBLE...but I knew that going in so I just planned on the extra $180 for the Gel Seat. I have also purchased a windshield for the bike. Although it looks very good without one, a windshield helps on the long highway drives.
This bike has awesome looks, good sound, and drives great! You will definately turn some heads with this bike. There is tons of chrome to enhance the look...so if you haven't had the pleasure of polishing chrome...you will.
The bike's seat height is low and not too heavy so smaller riders can feel in control of the machine.
The only negatives are the stock seat (replace it right away), the small fuel tank (gets about 110 miles until reserve is needed) and the Squeaking Brakes! Although Suzuki is awesome at making bikes they have LOTS to learn about brakes. I have not heard of a stock Intruder not having squeaking brakes. The only solution is to replace them with Kevlar pads. One thing about the Intruder's brakes...you will never find a bike thats easier to replace the front pads then the intruder. Removal can be done in 3 minutes!
Buying this bike was the best decision I have made in a while!
