I bought this bike new in Dec. '94. I knew the price range I wanted, and I knew a great deal about bikes in general (I'm a gearhead, and I've been riding for 17 years.) This is probably the best bike Suzuki has ever made. I have never heard of an engine failure, nor have I ever heard of a wrench who's seen the inside of one. 100k miles plus is not uncommon on these.(mine is a '95 with 58k miles). But Honestly folks, its looks that sell cruisers. This is one of the best looking bikes out there, bar none.My harley buddy always manages to comment on its looks. Fit and finish are immaculate (did I spell that right?).
The only complaints I had about it were the stock seat and the fact that air filter access is a pain( you have to remove the tank, seat, and sidecovers to get to them.) While there's nothing you can do about that, the seat problem is easily fixed by the aftermarket.(I recommend Corbin).
Don't let the fact that it is "only" 800cc. It beats the 1400 intruder in both 1/4 mile times and top speed. And the 1500 can't even come close.
This is undoubtedly the best bike I've ever owned and I'd recommend it to anyone.
