I recently bought my Intruder after being off a bike for over 10 years, I finally got tired of saying "next year" I've never owned a big bike so the Intruder appealed to me as well as the price. I have been surprised at the power of this bike, it does have the jet kit so I keep up with the 1100 V-Twins out there. This is the first V-Twin I've owned and for me it is a different feel of power from the vertical twins and fours I've ridden in the past, the bottom end torque is amazing not having to shift so much in city traffic to keep the power band up.

As with other reviews on epinions I too find the gas tank too small but then again I'm not all that young anymore so it's kinda nice to get off and stretch every 100 miles or so which is the limit on my bike before I put it on reserve. I also don't care for the footpeg placement as I tend to cramp up after awhile in the saddle but, again it's nice to get off and stretch.
Overall I have to say I have been pleased with the Intruder, with the exception of the pegs it's comfortable, has plenty of power for me as I ride alone mostly or sometimes take one of my kids for rides around town or to their friends house which they love, they say it's so much nicer than riding in a minivan, I couldn't agree with them more.
One word of caution, if you're thinking of getting one of these bikes because you think it's only an 800, beware this 800 is no creampuff. If you find one on the used market, the first time you twist the throttle you will say oh poo or something like it. The Intruder is a great bike to ride, it handles very easy and is very manuverable in traffic and it accelerates quickly.
