It has more power (and torque) that you would expect from an 800 (805cc).
The bike looks awesome (except for a small reflector under the license plate that I removed within 30 minutes of buying the bike).
The Marauder handles very well. Straight lines are never an issue regardless of speed. Steering is smooth as long as you've got some speed- if you're moving under 20mph, you may notice the front end steering itself a little bit, but not too bad.
Braking is good considering it only has one disc in the front and a drum in the back.
The final drive system a chain, if they could put a belt drive system on the Savage650, why can't they put it on the Marauder800 ???
The factory exhaust is very quiet, perfect if thats what you want, but I will be installing aftermarket pipes to make it a bit louder.
The seat is very comfortable even after long hauls. I am a man of average height (5'10") and the handlebar isn't back far enough to ride in a totally upright position, I find myself leaning too far forward to reach the bars. I will also be replacing the bars to make riding a little easier on the back.
They finally got rid of that nasty yellow Marauder logo on the sides of the gas tank and replaced it with a nice grey and white logo.
The front and rear fenders are plastic, however they still look really nice- especially when polished and waxed.
The bike lacks a tachometer, which would look better and make proper engine break-in period a little easier.
