Pros: Devilish good looks, acceleration, and chrome
Cons: exhaust not loud enough and bad seats.
The Bottom Line: This is a great looking ride and at less that $6'000 a real bargain for the beginner and the expert rider.

| cdennison40's Full Review: 2000 Suzuki MARAUDER 800 |
I have owned my Marauder for two years now. Me and my wife ride every chance we get and to work when possible. Let me start with a general comment about bikes and couples. A bike or his and hers bikes is a great way for a couple to bond and enjoy each others company, it gives you an oppertunity to connect on a common interest. Know back to the matter at hand. The Marauder is a take notice bike with the inverted forks, drag bars, and more chrome than just about any bike in it's class. The ride is solid with very little vibration. It is nimble and the 805cc engine uses little effort to move the 435 lb. motorcycle. It is chain driven so some maintenance is required (ie. adjustment and lube). This bike does suffer at lower speeds my thought is that it could use an exhaust rework to make it easier to tune and smooth out the low speed ride. While it can tend to lurch at low speed it is negligable opened up it loves to run out pacing any stock 883 I have came across. The mirrors have to be changed I don't know why suzuki designed a custom looking bike and stuck the round cheap looking mirrors on it. I took the covers off my seats removed some foam and added some gel pad and recovered them worked great (hint if you do this carry a towel to put over the seats while the bike is parked in the hot sun). Overall the bike runs great and is a classic crusier.
