| KLP's Full Review: 2000 Vespa ET4 150 |
Recently I had an incident where my car refused to start. I was running late for work and calling in was not an option. My neighbor was kind enough to come to my rescue! She let me borrow what she lovingly refers to as her husband's "TOY".
I hadn't rode a scooter since my teenage years and found that the Vespa was easier to handle and more stable then it's predecessor that I had used. On paved roads it just zipped along and a quick steady pace. The only problem that I had was on the gravel in the parking lot, the tires sunk in and made it difficult to steer.
The Vespa's comfortable, but let's face it, it's not a touring bike with plush seats and back support, it's a scooter!
It cost very little to fill the tank, even with high gas prices and I hardly used any gas going to work and home.
I don't currently own one of these little darlings, but I plan on making the investment soon. I figure if you can handle taking a Vespa to work, you will save money on gas in the long run, plus it's just plain fun!
