Pros: Very comfortable, good smooth power, great transmission, good storage, easy to park.
Cons: Chrome pieces have pitted and rusted in less than 11 months! Hard to kick start.
The Bottom Line: Nice scooter if the dealer will replace and rusted chrome pieces for at least 24 months. Mine lasted only 7 months before starting to rust.

| scooterguy's Full Review: 2000 Vespa ET4 150 |
Wow, the Vespa is back! That was my first thought after walking into a Vespa Boutique in Columbia, SC. Having ridden a Vespa in Jr. High, (1960 125cc model), I couldn't wait to test ride the new version. After a short ride around the parking lot I bought TWO of them! My wife and I always ride together, having owned 28 motorcycles over the past 14 years. The ET4's are excellent scooters mechanically. They are very comfortable on short rides and handle like Cadillacs when compared to the smaller offerings from Yamaha and Honda. The beauty of this scooter is at first captivating. The ride is stimulating, if not exciting. Controls are great and the front brake will eventually start stopping you if you break it in, (which takes a little work). My minor complaint so far has been the difficulty of "kick starting" the ET4. The kick start position is unnatural and the scooter seems to only want to be electric started. My major problem at this time is that most of the chrome pieces on both scooters have pitted and rusted. I am waiting to see if Piaggio will replace them under warranty since they are both less than 1 year old and have both been garaged and never ridden in poor weather.
