| carjock's Full Review: 2000 Yamaha Road Star |
after a 100 mile ride on this bike and months of research i purchased the road star. It is 1602 cc of raw torque.on the upside this is te best handling bike i ever been on i have ridden harleys for 20 tears so i am not new to this, the low seat makes this heavy bike handle like a 500 pounder. it has a lot of low to midrange power in the upper level it is good also. In 1999 the bike had some cam noise and a rear fender problem since then it has been corrected.you can expect some noise from an engine of this size they all do it. I would stress that you ask your dealership which accessories they have in stock as i have had to order every one of mine. this bike will be more popular and more expensive as you wait to order one many harley owners are looking at it very seriously it is generally accepted as an equal in the bike world so i love this bike and on the downside is there is not enough time to ride it
