This is my second bike, I first had a Suzuki 650 salvage, just too small. Traded it for my 2001 Yamaha Road Star "Midnight Star" I love it, can not find anything bad about it. Plenty of power, the feel the engine gives you, the rumble at idle, just super. Chrome all over, Glossy Black, just a beautiful bike.
The gas mileage is very good, I am getting 45 miles to the gallon in town, got 51 miles to the gallon riding out in the country.
I had Cobra pikes installed on it, the sound it great, sounds like a Harley, most people thinks that it is a Harley. I have had no problems with it, I have had it for a month now and have put 1800 miles on it, with no problems.
I would highly recommend this bike, you will be very happy with it. Another thing I like about it, is that it has a clock and two trip meters on it.
