| kruzer's Full Review: 2000 Yamaha Road Star |
I have just bought the Roadstar 2002 two weeks ago and have put about 400 miles on it. Before purchasing the bike, I did a lot of research to find out which cruiser suits me. The most good review I've read were on the Roadstar. It seems to have stand out among other big cruisers. So, my decision was on the Roadstar.
And I have never regreted it. It was as true as what previous Roadstar owners have said. It was a good overall motorcycle. It's low end torque is unbelievable. Belt-driven. It just pulls you away from the traffic lights, leaving behind the rest of the bikers. It is nimble enough to be ridden in the city. Thanks to its low centre of gravity. Do not fear by its 700lb weight. At highway, it is very stable. Rock steady even at 80-90mph. I don't even realise I was doing at that speed till I look down at the speedometer! Then remembering the break-in period, I slowed down the beast. And it slowed down obediently with its dual front disc brakes. It has quite a massive following in the country. And it has a very wide range of accessories. Morever, the bike is easy to customise, though the stock version is good enough. And the beauty of the machine.. it's unbelievable! Most of the passer-by will turn their heads to look at the muscular machine. Those shining chrome, those muscular engine never fails to attract attention. Some even mention it looks better than a HD Fatboy! Honest!
It most probably is THE motorcycle you have wish to ride.
