In my opinion the Yamaha TTR-125 is an excellent bike. Yamaha really made the right bike this time it fills the gap between 100cc and 200cc bikes.I have just recently purchased a TTR-125 and so far it has been nothing but fun. I have had no mechanical difficulties of any kind. The TTR is the perfect size for people to big for the 100cc bikes and to small for 200cc bikes. For its size the TTR-125 sure does pack a heck of a punch!
It carries me up even the steepest of hills and it is lightening quick, I find my self keeping up with XR 200s and even 250s. It has fast acceleration off the mark and has a extremely good clutch. It has an aluminum frame so you do not get any rust in places. By making it with an aluminum frame Yamaha made it not only rust proof but super light, it weighs in at only 145 pounds making it great on tight turns and giving it superb handling.
It has good ground clearence especially for a bike of this size. I can drive up 7 inch stone steps with ease. For those people who like things looking spiffy this bike will make you go head over heals it has great looks, similar to its brother the YZ. The TTR has everything I would want in a bike and more. This bike is an excellent choice for young adults and amature riders.
