I first bought this bike as a step-up for my 11 year old son. He took to it like a duck in water. His skills improved dramatically within days of riding this bike. He easily keeps up with me on our wood rides and can out ride any of his friends on their little two strokes. One thing I particularly like is the lower maintenance that the four stroke needs. No more constant fouling of plugs and tuning the carb. Just gas it and go. The air filter is placed for easy maintenance also.
One unforeseen benefit of this bike is that both my wife and 15 year old daughter learned to ride on his bike. They were much less intimidated by the lower seat height and gentle throttle that the TTR provides. Needless to say, I now have three of them in my garage!
This is an all around great family bike. I have nothing but compliments for the design team.
