I've owned several ATV's over the years, so I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted when it came time to upgrade. I did a LOT of research on all the different models, and it kept leading me back to the same model...the Rubicon. I was fully aware of Honda's reputation when it came to reliability. They've been #1 since the birth of the ATC90 back in the early 70's. The Rubicon proudly carried on this "bloodline". The new Hondamatic transmission is pure genius. Even when in ESP mode, you can hardly tell that it's "shifting". All you feel is a slight surge forward. It's really sweet. In Auto mode, all you have to do is give it gas. The 499CC engine has plenty of power, and the transmission is always in the right "gear". Ergonomics are excellent. The controls are all easily accessible, and the new seat design is a definite asset on those longer rides.
I'd recommend this machine to anyone. I've had mine for a year and a half, and it has been rock solid. Honda is famous for "over-engineering" their products. They fully test and re-test their machines before introducing them to the public. If a problem does arise, they have always been right there to stand behind their product, and to make it right. This is what keeps me coming back.
