Pros: automatic, oil injected, saftey features
Cons: runs hard in cold weather
The 2001 Scrambler 90, one of Polaris's finest ATV creations for the littler off road drivers. We purchased one for our kids this year for Christmas. After researching many models, styles and manufacturers this one caught our eye, and the price was the best for the quality of the product.
I give it two thumbs up!
It maybe small but it sure can move. The features are wonderful, automatic transmission, full floorboards, emergency strap to cut off motor, oil injection so there is no need to mix the gas and oil.
The only thing we have not liked , is that in this cold weather there has been a problem with the carburetor frosting up.
It is recommended for rider's age 12 and up, while still being powerful enough for an adult to ride it. The age is not just a guideline, you should follow it, they go faster then you think and younger ones may not be able to control them properly.
When you go to buy one plan on it taking a while before you are loaded and ready to leave. You have to watch a video on correct usage of the ATV.
After watching the video you will need to take a test, yes a driving test.
So it is best if you take the child the purchase is intended for.
Riding the Scrambler is like letting lose , great fun, and a really wild new experience.
If you are in the market for one I greatly recommend getting a 2001 Scrambler 90. One of the hottest ATV'S this year, so hot they can't keep them in stock!
