Im only 15 and it has been a very snowy season in New York. All my friends had quads which made me very mad. I got a small job and started to look for a quad. I needed something inexpensive but reliable.I wanted a honda 250ex but that was way out of my price range.I was at a honda dealer and saw a used yamaha blaster so i sat on it for the hell of it. The guy let me have a quick test drive. At first i was just bored and wanted to ride something but after i was done riding it it was definetly worth looking into. Since it was used i didnt buy it but later on i went to a place called Long Island Cycle and Marine who had it in stock so i gave it one more look and baught it! I was soooooo happy when they dropped it off the next day. The first time i rode it with my friends who had a honda 300ex and a kawasaki mojave 250 i smoked there asses. The only bad things about the blaster is that it has a very narrow wheel base. It is very very easy to flip. I have had it on 2 wheels many times but never flipped it yet. Also the back brakes kinda suck. I dont know why the hell yamaha doesnt change them around. If i kill myself i will have someone hunt the person responsible for those damn brakes. There not as bad as everyone makes them out to be but if u need to stop at 50 ft going 40 mph and theres a tree there ur pretty much dead. But for the front brakes there pretty good. "ALWAYS RELY ON THE FRONT BRAKES" but dont hit them too hard then ur face will be a foot into the road. The oil overflow valve is definetly in a bad place. I have filled my oil tank up too much and it squirts oil on ur left leg. But thats why the quad costs 3000$ Its worth it though. well thats about all i have too say.
