The Bottom Line: The Wolverine is awesome and after riding it for over a year and riding several others this is the most overall fun quad. It does it all.

Nice body style. very comfortable seat with room for your woman on back. looks very cool. I was undecided between the Honda rancher 350 and the wolverine. Yamaha treated me much better than 2 Honda dealers so I went with the Yamaha. I was very happy with it, but was always wondering if I got the better machine. Through a trade I aquired a 01 Rancher and it doesn't even come close to the Wolverine in any aspect. My only recomendations Yamaha could do to improve this machine would be increased displacement, better carb flow, and the ability to disengage the transfer case. But it is the best Sport 4x4 out there! It handles excellent in tight trails, and for being full time 4wd you can't even tell. Best all around ATV for work, play, speed, and ride comfort.
