Pros: Delphi EFI runs perfect all the time. The TC88B is a smooth running engine.
Cons: The Springer itself takes time to detail.
I purchased my 02 FLSTSI back in November 2001. I now have 15K on it. I am just as much in love with it as the day I bought it. I have always liked the look of the Harley Springer. I have been very impressed with the overall quality fit and finish. I have ridden after market Springers and have been scared s--tless when they have started to pogo on a sweeping turn at 70 mph on the freeway. The Harley recreation of this modern day Springer has none of these undesirable characteristics. I too admit that the front end does have a heavier feel, but I got used to it. Now it feels normal to me. These models for some reason were never that popular.
I guess that's why Harley discontinued them. It seems to me to be at a ratio of 100 to 1. One Springer for every 100 other Softails. As far as I am concerned all the better to have a bike that not every one else has.
