Pros:The wide rear tire, fuel-injection, very good ride and handling, beautifully chromed front forks.
Cons:The exhaust system.
The Bottom Line: Buy it, don't let this one pass you by!

I've recently purchased a Harley-Davidson Deuce (2002 model) with fuel-injection. I'm very pleased with my purchase of this bike. Although, it wasn't the one I'd planned on buying, I think I made the right choice.
This is a brand new purchase, so it hasn't really been broken in yet, but as far as I can tell it's going to be a great motorcycle. It seems to handle very well in cornering and is very manueverable aside from it's long wheel base. The suspension gives the bike a very nice ride. I've got a low-profile seat on it, and it surprisingly rides very well! My wife even likes to ride on it (when she's not asking to drive it). It doesn't seem to be an uncomfortable ride for her as a passenger, even with the seat.
I didn't give these bikes much of a chance for me to really like them when they came out, due to the rear fender. I thought it looked, kind of, odd. Since I've purchased the bike, the look of it has really grown on me.
As for the engine, it hasn't been broken in yet, so I don't know much about that aspect of it. It seems to be a pretty strong engine, and well- balanced, it doesn't seem to have much vibration to it. The fuel-injection on this model is a pretty cool option, it reduces the spitting and sputtering of cold start-ups. The only thing that I don't like about the injection is that if you upgrade the engine or exhaust, you have to have the computer "re-mapped", and that will cost you some money (approx. $150.00)!
One thing I can say, negatively, is that the factory should've put a louder exhaust on it, due to the break-in period. They want you to break-in the engine by not exceeding a certain engine RPM range, but when you're riding through the air, you honestly cant hear the exhaust to tell how hard you're revving the engine (no tach on this model). If not an exhaust change, then they should make the tach a standard option.
Another thing that I, personally, don't like about the exhaust system is that you can't fold up the rear footpeg due to the top slip-on muffler being in the way. And, although the mufflers may not get that hot, if you add slip-on mufflers that do, there's a possibility that the rubber from the footpeg will melt on the exhaust, making a black mark on the pipes. Which is a pet-peeve of mine!
If you're looking to buy a Harley give this model a good look. It has a lot of features on it that are only on this model. These features include the wider (160) rear tire, stretched tank, rear fender, and the beautifully chromed front-end (forks). It really makes for a great-looking motorcycle! Don't miss it like I almost did, buy it!
They also offer a special flame and marble paint job that I purchased for $2500.00 that looks really cool!
