I bought this car (new) as a replacement car for my 2-dr Ford Explorer after adding to our family, and having it be nearly impossible to haul a baby in and out of the back of an suv. I did not anticipate how crazy I would become about it! The "suicide doors" open in such a way that make the back seat very accessible-super easy for hauling kids and dogs. The seats configure all kinds of different ways that allow endless possibilities for hauling things, even with passengers in the car. The inside, while not "hoseable" as some people think, is pretty darn cleanable. I find I trash the inside with toddler and pet paraphenalia such as juice boxes, fur, and goldfish crackers. With some quality time, (like 10 minutes with a vacuum) it looks like new again. My "ellie" has the full time 4 wheel drive that has yet to flinch at hauling small boats in and out of the water, or New England's harsh winters. I often describe it as falling for a nerd that treats you very well, and over time you become totally infatuated with it. SIgn me up for the hybrid when it comes out!
