After hearing about these 2 stroke 500 bikes,i got a chance to ride my freinds 2002 kawasaki kx500.It was AMAZING!. This was by far the fastest,most powerfull bike ive ever pulled a leg over.It was alot hevier then my yz125,kx100,gas gas250,kx250f and like any other bike i owned and the power was insane.All through the powerband you were intimidated by the amazing power and around 80mph top speed.

On the track i loved this bike.You could gun it around and just fly way faster then you can on a 250.The jumps landed good,stiff shocks helped and it blasted out of the corners with a vengance.

The only problems i could see with this bike is being so heavy and having far too much power for the beginner rider.Ive been riding scence age 6 and the bike still gave me a blast.If you are into big bikes like this i would suggest a honda cr500 2007 model currently being made by service honda.They also make trx250r atv's which is a great idea.Take hondas 2 greatest 2strokes and reproduce them with the technoligy of today.The new cr500's have an alumunum crf250 frame and are much lighter,they also look the part.The other 500 bike i tryed was a 1983 Suzuki RM500.It didnt have the great cr power and it was still lower then the kx.Anoter problem with the kx is the chains.Its so powerfull if you pop the clutch too much the chain will stretch.I dont know why they stopped making these bikes but there a pleasure to drive,a bit lighter and you would have a true winner.
