Pros: Comfortable, smooth, powerful, fuel injected, turns heads
Cons: No tach, some plastic, no fuel reserve (no big deal)
I bought the bike as an end of season sale, and as a result it was cheaper then the 1100cc Yamaha v-stars and Honda shadows I was originally looking at. I traded in my DRZ400s, and man what a different ride. At first I was a little intimidated by the low wide stance and power, after the first stop light I was comfortable and confident riding it.
As for the cons I wrote, a tach would be nice, but once I have some louder pipes on there it likely won't be nessesary. Suzuki should incorporate a tach in the tank mounted speedo. And the small amout of plastic that the harley guys will complain about, just leaves room for customizing.
I have over 2000 kms in the first week and a half riding it. This is the first bike that when I come home to my street I feel like riding further. Which is one more "con", a bigger gas tank would be nice.
The fuel injection is awesome, no more choke or hassle on cold days, but, there is also no fuel reserve, a feature I have deppended on heavily in the past. I find myself watching the fuel gauge alot.
Its a great bike and I'm looking forward to many years of riding this one.
