After driving a 1994 Altima for 10 years, it was time for a new car. I looked at a lot of models, but came back to the Altima for the quality, roominess, and price.
I purchased a 2005 Altima 2.5 S for $16,888 plus tax. This included the comfort package. I was immediately impressed with the style, power of both the engine and automatic transmission, and the roominess both in the front and back seats. The cloth seats are really nice, and I love the power adjustable driver's seat. There are a lot of interior design touches that I appreciate especially the 7 spaces to hold "stuff" not counting the glovebox and rear seat map holders. I also love the trip computer. It tells you how long you've been driving, your MPG, average MPH, and how many miles until you run out of gas. All of these features are at your fingertips on the steering wheel along with the controls for the radio and CD player--so cool!
We took it on a family road trip 800 miles round trip. It performed beautifully. On the way home I noted that it was getting 31 MPG on the Freeway. Wow! Around town I get about 17MPG. It was excellent in the rain, the wind, and mountains.
It's a beautiful and excellent performing car both inside and out. I highly recommend.
