The test drive sold this car. Instant and smooth reaction to the gas pedal and great feel for the road. 2.5Ltr motor feels more powerful than is should.
We bought the manual instead of automatic because it feels like a little rally/sports car, it's hard to behave yourself behind the wheel. I use it for commute to work and running errands. It's a cool arctic silver and draws attention wherever we go.
It's the first Saab with a ticket price under $30,000 and that's why I can afford it. We were going to go for a Honda Civic or Nissan but after testing this beauty and looking at the marginal price difference we took the plunge.
Power windows, doors, mirrors, 4 spkr CD/radio, tilt, air, cruise, power windows/locks
..all the basics but no bells and whistles besides the cool black/light gray sporty interior. There are only two cup holders in the front, small glove compartment, small storage in center console therefore irritatingly little storage for nick knacks.
16" alloys are great to look at, but pricey to replace. The AWD has helped us out of some bad winter situations more than once. Gas mileage is not the greatest but it makes a real difference if you keep it under 3000rpms, or go near the speed limit. Don't take passengers in the back seat for any length of time, it is really a 2 person car. No space for knees and legs. The fold down seats and hatch door makes room for some surprisingly large cargo.
All in all, a seriously cool car to drive. In 2 years no problems except for the front and rear wipers falling to pieces, cheap to replace. Oil changes are recommended every 12000 clicks if you use synthetic oil.
