My parents bought this car to replace our Chevrolet Suburban as our primary car. I drove it to school somedays and my mother drove it to work. My model is a 9-2x AWD without the turbo.
One of the most interesting things about this car is that it was made by Subaru. It makes repairing the car very confusing. Many people also deny that the 9-2x exists because only so many were made. It is difficult to get windshield wipers from places other than the dealership.
For a Saab, it is not very well-equiped. I have been in Volvos and Lexuses and I assumed that it would be the same type of luxury car. Mine does not have leather seats, but it does have grey and black cloth seats. It also takes a long time to heat up the car on cold days. There are very few jets for heat in the back. Also, I find the angle of the back seats to be uncomfortable. Larger men will have trouble sitting in the back, but it will still fit a family of five.
The best part of this car is the storage capacity. The car is not huge but once the seats are folded down, it can fit a lot. Compared to the Suburban, folding down the seats is simple. You just have to pull up a button and fold it down. There is also a removable cover to hide things in the back when the seats are up. It is easy to remove this when you are folding the seats down. Even when the seats are up, the back holds a lot.
The gas mileage in the all-wheel drive versions is also good. It gets around 20-23 miles in town driving. I do not drive in much on the highway on a weekly basis, but it can take long-distance trips as well. In New England, the all-wheel drive is amazing. It handles really well and does not slip on ice.
