Pros: Reliable car, good gas milage, acceptable parts prices,
Cons: Engine is too noisy, wind is not your friend, worst radio, rattling noises, low quality tires.
The Bottom Line: By the way,I negotiated this car for the invoice price plus $CAD 400,plus financing interest. Before you buy, check the invoice price of the car and you will save a thousand.

This is NOT a sports car!!! Even XRS model! If you like sports, stay away from this car! But it is an excellent commuter! If you need a reliable vehicle just to drive around, with a good gas milage- get this car and you will not be disappointed.
I was looking for a NEW sedan since I got tired of buying used cars, which were not looked after well enough by previous owners.I came from Europe, where people love cars and treat them well.I am sorry to say, but after a few years spent in North America I came to a conclusion that majority of car owners here do not get a car maintenance done according to the schedule, they just drive cars untill something breaks down.
Before choosing a new car to buy I pulled out all possible information from reliable sources and different countries.
Corolla was among the most reliable cars on today's market.
Another thing is the cost of spare parts: they are quite affordable (unlike parts for my wife's VW Passat- total rip off).
The body of the car is galvanized, so you got better rust protection.
I chose standard (manual)transmission, which is MUCH MORE FUN to drive than automatic, lasts longer, and cheaper to repair (if automatic tranny breaks down, be prepared to pay thousands of dollars).
Overall, I am satisfied with this car, however there are things I don't like: 1)the car could be lower and more stable 2)sometimes has rattling noises around the dash board 3)cheap tires that can easily kill you in rain or snow
4)worst radio I've ever had in a car. That's all.
Since any car on the market has some weaknesses, the above mentioned are not so serious and can be fixed, I recommend this car to anyone, who needs a reliable car to commute.
