I love my Durango!! We did not get the Hemi, but it does have the V8 - so lots of power. I drove a small sedan with 3 kids (2 in infant and toddler seats) for a long time - it became time to get a bigger vehicle. Plenty of people would go the minivan - but I am not the minivan kind of gal. I like that it has the big truck feeling; however, it does not drive like a truck. I can turn and park on a dime. I do not think the gas mileage is that unreasonable - I have been averaging 15 - 17 miles a gallon. I do not drive long distances usually, just a lot of short stop and go errands. I love that I can put my twin girls in the back, my 11 year old in the middle and still have room in the rear for my twin stroller. The 2 carseats could also fit in the middle row if you desire. I like having them in the back because I keep the middle row flipped up so they can "roam" while I am putting the other in the carseat. We also got the sirius radio subscription for free - I could take it or leave it but my kids and husband love it. The only thing we didn't get which I would have liked is the power lift rear gate - but no biggie. Oh, I also would have liked the remote start but that is just because I am a baby and don't like the cold weather and would have loved to been able to start the truck ahead of time.
I would buy this vehicle again and recommend it highly for anyone looking for a larger vehicle for cargo or family needs.
