I sold my 2003 Honda Civic LX to upgrade to the 2006 Honda CR-V because I needed more space for my new baby and I am glad that I did. This SUV is not BIG but has plenty of room. Second row seats folds down easily so I feel like I have a 4X4 truck at times. I've used this to buy furniture, plants/small trees for my new house, and tons of groceries and it always delivers. The roof rack is optional but I recommend it if you do a lot of sports or hauling. You don't need the 4wd if you live in a pretty flat area like me. The second row seats could also be raised higher for a better view of the road ahead for those sitting at the back. I actually read the car manual to learn the different controls in the SUV. Safety is also a big concern for me and the CR-V have curtain airbags and the rollover is a lot lower than the Nissan Xterra. The gas mileage is 19 mpg in city driving, something I do a lot here in San Antonio, TX. I installed a high definition radio on mine so no complaints on entertainment. My friend has a DVD installed in her CR-V. This can be done for those who thinks you can't have a DVD in your CR-V. You can put cameras too for backing up, (if you don't want to turn your head I guess). Lastly, the resale value of Honda is great (I can testify to that because I did not lose money on my Civic). I recommend this car because it is great and not overprice for its category.
