We have owned FIVE Chrysler minivans over a 21 yr period - I know, it's hard to believe. But with 3 kids it was a good choice for us. But I was so sick of driving a minivan! Two kids in college, time to get something new and exciting for a change. We did a lot of shopping and even went to an auto show in Austin. We made our 6 ft daughter sit in the back of all the SUV's with supposed 3rd seat. We found that the Honda Pilot was practically the only one that she could fit into, other than the huge Nissan Armada and Chevy Tahoe/Surburban. The back seat is fine for traveling and hour or two but I wouldn't want to take a major road trip in it. The front and second row seats are very comfortable. Our front seats are even heated!
The Pilot is everything we wanted in a SUV. We got the loaded package with Navigation. The Pilot runs smooth and quiet and the interior is intuitive and easy to figure out the controls. The XM radio is great; I'll never have regular radio again! The Navigation is something my husband wanted but I'm so glad we have it. It helped us find our way around San Antonio - to restaurants and our hotel.
My high school age son keeps taking it away - something that never happened with my minivan! I let him because of the stellar safety rating. I'm really proud of my new vehicle and so happy to have chosen a Pilot. The repair records are great according to Consumer Reports and I look forward to having this vehicle for a long time.
