Pros: Voice activated navigation, good gas mileage, smooth ride
Cons: weak radio, little loud at high speeds, not the flashiest look
The Bottom Line: Definetely a great buy. Same engine and interior room as the Acura MDX which is $10,000 more. Not built to wow but to perform all functions very well. Typical Honda

I just recently traded in my 2000 Ford Expedition for the 2006 Honda Pilot. Going from a full size truck to an SUV I felt was neccessary in regards to gas mileage which so far is much better with the Pilot and I am happy about that. The car rides smooth but the I have noticed that at highway speeds the cabin noise does get a bit noisy but not loud enough that you can't hear the radio or carry on a conversation. The navigation system is always on point and being able to locate gas stations, ATm etc. is a great plus. The voice recognition is pretty much on point as long as you follow the guidelines. The ride is very comfortable and smooth and the car has some pep with the V-tech V6 engine. The first two rows have great amounts of room but the third row is better left for children or if you sit sideways in the last row. The climate control is great as well as the fact the car has side airbags, front air bags and curtain air bags that come standard. The radio system is a little weak and could get some more umph. The in dash 6 cd player works okay and having the XM free for 2 months also is a plus. Overall I am very happy with this purchase as the gas mileage is good all of the extra things that come along with the car. i.e. voice activated navigation, climate controld, 3 sets of air bags. My only real complaint if that is a slightly weak radio system and a little noisy at high speeds. I would still but knowing what I know today after having the car for 2 months.
