I made the decision to purchase a new vehicle. I considered almost every auto available. The price was not really a factor. I wanted an SUV of some type and had owned pickups for almost 20 years. I also own Mercedes cars and really like them. I drove the ML350 and then I drove the Honda Pilot. Wow, lots of difference in price but, the Honda was a bargain! I almost purchased the Pilot but, I was afraid I would miss the pickups hauling feature. I then drove the Ridgeline and I was instantly sold. I got the RTL with Navigation! Wow, what a vehicle this is. Solid, quiet, roomy and the fit and finish is wonderful.
The Honda has electric fans and the loud sound of the mechanical fan on start off (with my Dodge truck) is not there. The pickup is simply one of the best vehicles I have ever purchased. I have paid much more for a vehicle but, I didn't get much more of a vehicle. Honda really hit the mark with this truck. I forget it is a truck when I am driving it. It drives more like a very expensive luxury vehicle. The leather seats and audio system are exceptional also. XM satellite radio is great also. Hidden 6 disc changer is also great. I find that I now drive this vehicle more than my MB or Lexus.
If you are considering a new vehicle, you owe it to yourself to test one of these out. I had no idea Honda made such a fine vehicle.
I have had this vehicle for almost three weeks and drive it daily. I have found absolutely no flaws inside or out. The Michelin tires (17") are an added bonus.
The hvac unit cools very quickly and the automatic split controls are fantastic. The temperature warms up almost instantly also. I am sure this will be nice is cold weather. The voice activated navigation and audio system works well. Tell the unit to turn on the a/c or sat radio and on it goes. Raise the volume or lower it all by voice commands. Everything was thought out well.
Drive one and I believe you will find it a pleasure to drive.
I especially like the size of the vehicle. You aren't sitting on the floor as in some vehicles. Yet, you aren't too high off the ground. The vehicle corners very well and traction is nothing less than great.
I am sure I will also appreciate the 4 wheel drive system this winter.
Hope you find this helpful. Check one out before you make a purchase of any SUV or Pickup.
