What bike's were meant for. (Reply to this comment)
by coyote454
I've been seriously considering a Low Rider but haven't been able to read anything about them except the manufactures own notes. I wanted to hear from someone who actually knew what they were talking about; someone who didn't have their own agenda.
This review fills the bill completely, and I'm really appreciative that Don took the time to cover all the points.
And Don, you missed your calling: You should be a professional writer! Great job.
Now to start shopping for an '07 FXDLI.

Don, Thanks for the compliment. I really appreciate that.
Harleys have come a long way. My first was a 46 knucklehead. Funny that no one wanted them back in the 70's. I chopped it out easyrider style and rode it up and down the east coast. I couldnt find a buyer for it so traded for a 77 Cafe'XL. Funny, both those bikes today would fetch more than what I paid for the FXDL. Back then you couldnt give em away.
Thanks again and appreciate the MH rating.

Yet another great review! (Reply to this comment)

Don,
It's always good to read your reviews, and this one is no exception! I don't see how a better one could be done on this bike.
It was a wonderful surprise when I first rode one of the "new" Harley's - and yes, there is just something about a Harley.
Thanks again for sharing,
Don

Mike. I'm glad youve been following along. You may have noticed that Iv also updated my public profile a couple of times. Liquidating, thining out, reducing stress and going into semi retirement. Iv sold off cars but didnt mention that Iv also gotten rid of some bikes. The VFR that I reviewed and own is still in the garage safe and sound. It's one of those "keeper's". The Harley was an impulse buy with some of the fall out cash from selling those cars, bikes, and buisiness. Granted the wife doesnt see it that way. For her its just another headache, but I can afford the Motrin too so she'll survive. Thanks again for following and dont worry about the viffer, she's earned her keep. Don
