Pros: Car looks great - too bad it stalls at high speed without warning.
Cons: Car had a serious mechanical malfunction in first 700 miles. Honda unwilling to take responsibility.
After reading many reviews and test driving the car, I purchased a 2008 Honda Accord in early November. Two weeks later the car conked out in the fast lane of a divided highway. The car simply lost all power without warning, leaving me without power brakes, power steering, or engine power. The dealer, Main Line Honda in Ardmore PA, told me they would fix the car and if I thought it was unsafe I could talk to Honda America in Torrance, California. I wrote to Honda America, putting my concerns about this dangerous vehicle in writing, to no avail. Phone calls were either handled badly or ignored. The dealer insisted that they knew what the problem was (a defective MAP sensor)and that if it stalled out at high speed again I could just bring it back for another repair. The danger of high speed stalling seemed lost on these folks. I traded the car in for a 2008 Camry, taking a financial hit but getting rid of a dangerous car (which malfunctioned again after it was "repaired.") Don't buy a Honda - once they have your money, Honda has no interest in customer safety or satisfaction.
