Lincoln MKZ: How much difference do the new 3.5-liter V6 and AWD make?

Pros: AWD stability under power, chassis composure, luxury feel
Cons: More lux than sport, rear seat comfort, 3.5 not as good as hoped

I didn't realize the MKS was a Ford 500 sister.
I assumed when I sw it it was smaller than the Zephyr. Unfortunately it isn't gonna hit the streets for a while.

Needless to mention, Ford Motor Company isn't doing to well right now. My Uncle Carl is a Ford/Lincoln Mercury loyalist - Buisness Proffessor and even as a fanboy - He admitted Ford is not doing well ( after their buyout a few months back that's obvious).

I personally like Luxury cars more. After being in my father's S550 its hard to enjoy anything else.

Thanks for the comment. As I'm sure you've noticed, you're an unusually big guy, and many cars aren't made to fit you. The MKZ is actually roomier than the average car, but no Ford Five Hundred. Have you sat in one of those? So the upcoming Lincoln MKS, based on the Five Hundred, will no doubt be more to your liking.

My Uncle just got one (Reply to this comment)

My Uncle Rodney - a retired NYPD COP just got an MKZ as his retirement vehicle. He was used to driving around in Crown Victorias and he was talking alot about planning to buy a Mercury Grand Marquis.

It came as a complete suprise to me that he opted for the MKZ. He brought it over my house Thanksgiving day.

He is a lot shorter than me, about 6 feet tall while I tower at 6'7.

I asked for his keys to check the car out (get in and fiddle with the dials) but when I walked up to the car, I was struck by how damn tinny it is. When I opened up the door I was dissapointed by the interior size (though the colors and wood were nice) but it was so small I didn't even bother getting in - afraid I'd break something.

This is a great review - as usual.

I am a little interested in asking how sound deadoning material can add 200 pounds !?!

By the way, I'd like you to review my S550 review and my Lexus 460 review. If you had time, My Navigator 2007 and my Expedition 2007 reviews too.
