I bought a Cherry-Red 2007 Toyota Camry in August 2006 and the car has proved to me that it was a wise and practical decision. Sixteen months after, I found my beautiful Camry true to my expectations: dependable and economical, comfortable and safe, quiet power-riding and yet luxurious, safe and driver- passenger friendly.
My 2007 Camry has logged 26,746 miles already and it seemed that each of those miles rejuvenated my senses and each time that I reached my destination, I concluded: What a pleasure trip it was!!
Reasons why I decided to buy a 2007 Camry:
1. The Toyota Camry has been the best-selling car in the United States the last 7 years (or 10 ). In 2006-2007, the best-selling vehicle in the United States is the Ford 150 truck, second is the Toyota Camry.
2. Toyota has a long experience and record which proved their cars have meant: performance, reliable, economy and affordable, safe and people-friendly and not sacrificing style and beauty.
3. I have been driving in California, in Los Angeles particularly, since 1984 and I had driven a host of cars-rentals- private. My first car was 1980 Cadillac ( loan car from my brother). I passed the DMV test for my CA Driving License in 1984 in a 1982 Ford Mustang( a car owned by my sister-in law). I had owned 3 Toyotas before and I was impressed by their performance, especially gas mileage.
4. I like the new look of 2007 Toyota Camry: Sleek & compact, bulbous yet streamline.
5. Luxurious and yet affordable. I bought my 2007 Toyota Camry for little more $ 20,000. Compare the BMW, Acura, Lexus, Mercedes, CAD, etc. of similar 4-cylinder type, you will paying more than $30,000 or more.
6. Toyota Camry has been voted " Car Of The Year " by at least two car and auto magazines for years now!

COMMENTS ABOUT THE BRAKES: One December rainy night in 2006, I was driving at 134 Freeway West in Pasadena ( in carpool lane ), when suddenly I noticed a pool of water ahead, 1 foot deep. I was running 65-70 MPH, so I suddenly stepped on the brakes! My Camry went to 30, no skidding, no swerving, no nothing! My Camry glided thru 1 foot of rain water as if it wasn't there!

Note: Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Ford Mustang, in that order, are most stolen cars in Los Angeles for many years now.
MY EXPERIENCE
Toyota made the claim that the 2007 Camry rejuvenates the senses with every passing mile. You reach your destination feeling more refreshed than when started out. My experiences with my 2007 Camry these statements proved true. I bought my Camry in August 2006 and the odometer read 7 miles. Today, the odometer of my Camry is 26,746 miles and it runs and it glides as smooth and silent as a plane cuts the clouds in the sky. I find driving my Camry
in all driving conditions- hot day , rainy day, rush hour or there's no traffic is enjoyable and relaxing as can be.
I drove my Camry, with 6,000 miles in the odometer, to Las Vegas last December 31,2006. We planned to spend New Year's Eve in the Sin City. We started 7 A.M. Dec. 31st
from LA, the traffic was so bad that we arrived in Las Vegas at 3 pm the same day. We drove 8 hours! Normally, it takes 4-5 hours trip to Las Vegas if you drive 80-90 miles per hour. The distance from LA to Vegas is 300 miles , more or less. You know what- my Camry consumed less than a half tank capacity. Camry's gas tank capacity 15 gallons. That means my Camry in the trip to Vegas used 5-6 gallons of gas!! The slow speed we took due traffic explained everything. We drove 45 miles per hour most in the way to Las Vegas. Drive slow and you save at least 25 per cent of your gas consumption. Camry can run 35 MPG.
Re: Speed and Power: My Camry can accelerate from 0-60 in 5 seconds and on uphill, from 40- 80 in 3 seconds! I put the gear at 3 and step on gas like crazy! I passed on uphill climb Hemis, Landrovers, 4x 4's, etc. all the time!!
The max speed I run my Camry was 110 MPH and all the time it was like driving an airplane- quiet, smooth, no stress, car-wise, driver-wise. By the way, I didn't get speeding tickets.
CONLUSION
2007 Toyota Camry is the best new car I ever had. In 1985, I bought the new Nissan Sentra. In 1991, I had a new Mitsubishi Galant and in 1996 I had a new Nissan Altima
but those cars can never compare with my 2007 Camry as far fuel economy, safety and comfort, pick-up speed and power and styling and so much more!!
I had driven my Camry to Las Vegas 3 times, to San Francisco 2 times, to San Diego 5 times - each trip, my Camry had performed consistently on fuel economy, passenger comfort and relaxation, road safety , etc.
If ever, I have to buy a new car again, it will be a Toyota Camry!
