We recently turned in our Mustang for a minivan and I thought my manhood was being taken from me, but that wasn't true. I have come to love my new minivan. We purchased the 4 captain chairs and bench back seat version (seats 7). The 4 captian chairs are comfortable for any size and are equipped with the latch brackets for child seats. The bench seat in the back is perfect for teenagers or younger but it isn't the most comfortable for adults. Unless you have all tall people, there is plenty of room, even for tall people in the back (as long as the person in the middle seat can slide forward some).
One of my favorite features of the van is the ease with which you can manipulate the seats. The back row lays down very easy to carry long items and it lays down flat (creating one large space where you can have a mini-picnic in the back with kids). When the back row is up, there is a bit of a well in the back that gives you more storage for a stroller standing upright or other tall items. They also have convenient hooks for grocery bags and a spot on the sidewall for milk so it doesn't roll around on the drive home.
The ride of the van is nice. You are up high and have good visability and the V6 has plenty of power. When the van is completely packed you will notice a bit of a lag trying to pass on the freeway in the 60 mph range, but I think any fully loaded vehicle would experience that.
