LS600h L -- Wow.

Pros: Quiet, FAST, comfortable, roomy, great entertainment, safety.
Cons: The outside trunk button (open without the key fob) is missing; really expensive.
The Bottom Line: If you can part with $115K, buy this car. You will look forward to your commute each and every day (I know I do).

Where to begin? The features and technology available in this car are mind boggling. This car is absolutely silent inside (especially when operating on pure battery power), and the integration of the electric and gas motor is seamless. The transmission shifts smoothly and flawlessly, and the navigation system is incredible. It is integrated with XM traffic, so when you program a route, it will tell you if there are slow downs anywhere along your route. You have the option to automatically re-route around the traffic, or to head off on your own and let the car re-calculate for you when you leave the suggested route. The steering wheel is heated (yay!), and the stereo sounds like a home theater. There is a hard drive integrated that allows you to record your CD's, or transfer your iPod contents (or if you prefer, you can transfer MP3's from your computer). Once there, you can search, sort, and select by artist, album, song title, and can have up to 2000 songs. The navigation is also run off a hard drive, so it is blisteringly fast and (I'm guessing) can be easily updated. Safety features abound -- airbags, ABS (of course), a pre-collision system (that really works!), and fabulous visibility. I've owned many LS sedans over the years, and while I thought there was nothing left they could do to impress, along comes the LS600h L and surprises me again.
