I was going too go used-again because I do not believe in paying over $12,000 for a car. I know unrealistic but based on my Scottish roots that is my standard. That was until I gave away to a worthy cause the Chevy Astro Van I bought from the kid at The Broadway Deli. The feature on that car (that made me finally donate the car to Goodwill was it's constant need for duct tape to hold the door closed.)
Subaru-no hassle
I shopped online until I had to opt out with all the hungry sales teams out there. I live in Colorado and unofficially the state bird is "the Subaru" (kidding). While I choked on my pride I test drove and compared a Saturn Vue, a Toyata Camry, and a Subaru Legacy. So it came down to price, and also the best lease option. Gas mileage also was on my list and since I travel as a journalist and producer, gas is an issue.
Service and help
When I decided to go with the Subaru (the lease on this $18,000 car fit my budget and cashflow) all the paperwork was ready. The service at Heuberger Subaru in Colorado Springs was extraordinary! The internet sales manager Magaly was cordial, attentive and informative. That's what it took to gain my business and trust- and the car drives well. The seats are comfortable and the terms were even better.
